The funds advised by EMERAM invest in the consumer, technology/software and service sectors. Their total volume currently stands at EUR 400 million. In general, the funds acquire a significant stake in the company and give the respective management team an opportunity to invest, too.

Dr. Eckhard Cordes
Chairman of Sector Advisory Board
Eckhard has a combination of extensive operational experience in several relevant sectors, a history in finances, and experience in M&A and the private equity industry. He served for 30 years at Daimler AG, where he held several leading roles in controlling and finance and later became a member of the executive committee, where he had numerous responsibilities (Executive Daimler AG, CEO Mercedes Car Group, CEO Commercial Vehicles). Afterwards he joined the Franz Haniel Group where he was CEO of Franz Haniel GmbH and then CEO of Metro AG.
Eckhard has been involved in more than 20 M&A transactions and has served four years on EQT's Investment Committee. Currently he serves as a Member of the Committee on Eastern Economic Relations in the German Industry.
Eckhard holds a Master's degree and Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Hamburg.
