EMERAM portfolio company sofatutor acquires French learning platform SchoolMouv and thus strengthens its international growth strategy
Munich/Berlin, February 24,2026 – sofatutor, a portfoliocompany of EMERAM, has acquired the French learning platform SchoolMouv. With this acquisition, sofatutor, supported by EMERAM, is implementing the first major add-on in the French market, a decisive step towards the implementation of the joint internationalization strategy.
The acquisition marks a strategic milestone in sofatutor's development from a leading provider in the German-speaking market to a European EdTech company. EMERAM actively supports this growthcourse and sees the transaction as an important step towards building a leading digital education platform in Europe. With more than 2million users, around 7,000 learning videos and over 200,000 interactive exercises, sofatutor is one of the most comprehensive digital learning platforms in the German-speaking countries. In addition to the core platform sofatutor.com, the portfolio also includes the early learning app sofatutorKIDS forchildren aged 2 to 6.
SchoolMouv, founded in Toulouse in 2013, is an online learning platform focused on the French curriculum with videos, structured courses, interactive quizzes, a flashcard product and AI-supported learning content generation. The company employs around 40people and will continue to operate on the market as an independent brand with its own management.
